Technical issue prompts British Airways to return to Sky Harbor

british-airwaysA flight of British Airways was forced to return to Phoenix Sky Harbor late on Wednesday night due to what BA officials think was just a ‘technical issue’.

 

The official website of British Airways state that flight BA 288 had been flown by a Boeing 747 jet that was travelling to London Heathrow Airport.

 

The BA officials also mentioned that the technical issue had taken place as soon as the aircraft had taken off. In a later statement the officials of British Airways said that the plane actually confronted with a technical issue with one of its four engines.

 

The engine was reportedly shut down by the flight crew before the plane returned to the airport.

 

And this airplane was seen landing at Sky Harbor without any incident.

 

BA officials state that the airplane was capable of making a perfectly safe landing.
