The cruise takes about six hours one way. The tourism department has chalked it out in such a way that the two-day trip begins in Hyderabad by bus on Wednesdays and Saturdays, incorporating the Srisailam temple visit within the trip.
From Nagarjunasagar, tourists board the cruise and visit the Nagajunakonda Museum.
During the trip to Srisailam, they are served food. After reaching Srisailam, they spend the night at the tourism guest house.
The next morning, they have darshan at the Mallikarjunaswamy temple and begin their journey back to Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad-Nagarjunsgar-Srisailam-Hyderabad trip costs 3,800 for adults and ₹3,000 for children. There are also separate cruise only packages.
The cruise was launched as Nagarjunasagar received heavy inflows in October. Tourists also get to explore the picturesque beauty of Nallamalla forest range during the cruise and road journey.
