This association will change the general perception of Thailand as a mass market to a quality leisure destination in the wake of joint efforts by the two governments to crack down on zero dollar and cheap packages from China.
8 Thai travel bloggers and 4 Chinese online influencers will be working together for fortifying two-way travel between Thailand and China. Plernpit Muenpon, executive director of IT at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said that this event will help in promoting tourist attractions and activities in Thailand, especially to independent Chinese visitors.
Last year, around 8.7 million Chinese tourists visited Thailand and generated 445 billion Baht in revenue. The TAT has predicted 9 million Chinese to travel to Thailand this year.
