The World Travel and Tourism Council or the WTTC Global Summit, one of the biggest travel events of world took place in Southeast Asia for the first time. It was hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Attended by more than 800 delegates, world leaders, ministers, tourism executives and professionals from almost 58 countries came to Bangkok last month from April 26-27, for meetings and discussions about the future of the industry. Apart from the huge success of the event, a touch of exclusive Thai food provided at the gala dinner along with unforgettable trips arranged by TAT made the event super hit!
Besides, event delegates got an exposure to an array of Thai activities and traditional entertainment, as TAT is currently engaged in promoting unique local Thai experiences. Thai dancing and music, Muay Thai displays, Thai snacks and drinks, and exhibiting local arts and crafts were at the welcome gala dinner on April 26th last month. Delegates also received an opportunity to explore Thailand’s wonderful history and traditional ways of life in Bangkok and in the provinces, offered by TAT to the attendees.
Thai people and their warm hospitality created a friendly atmosphere at the event that ensured the WTTC summit was conducted in a spirit of international cooperation.
