At the Women’s Journey Thailand 2017 Campaign, more than 50 women celebrities and influencers across the globe had assembled. The special project of the Tourism Authority of Thailand or TAT is targeted to lure more female visitors to the country in the coming days.
So-Hyun Kim, South Korean actress, Indian actress Tanya Sharma, members of the Japanese girl group Nogizaga 46, Hadia Ghaleb, the Egyptian fashion icon, beauty queens from Vietnam, China, Myanmar and Australia and the Philippines’ Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Omani actress Naeema Al Maqbali were the celebrated guests at the campaign.
Women travelers were the focal point of the new marketing campaign of TAT. It’s all set to endorse and present the country as one of the safest and welcoming destinations for women in the world. Tourism officials have declared that Thailand has recently recorded an immense growth in female tourists.
To quote H.E. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, “it has to be women because in Thailand, women matter. Tourism is not just a matter of figures, or how many people are coming to Thailand. It’s not just a business. Tourism is about people to people, heart to heart, understanding (each other).”
The Women’s Journey Thailand 2017 Campaign takes the pleasure to recognize and addressing the interests and requirements of women travelers coming to Thailand. Seven categories of products and services are introduced under the campaign in expectation to welcome more female visitors in the coming years, as expressed by the TAT officials.
