Mr. Shivdasani is the former chief founder and chief executive of the Six Senses hotels and resorts.
Soneva Kiri on Koh Kut continues to grow from both European markets and the local market. Currently he is estimating a greater demand from Asia that is penetrating markets particularly Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Korea as well as the domestic market.
As per the rates of the hotel set for 20th December, 2016 to 17th December, 2017, the best ever price was US$905 for a bay-view pool-villa suite during the low season.
The most expensive rate was $22,220 during the peak season for a private cliff pool with six bedrooms.
The leading markets include tourists from places like Thailand, China, UK, Germany and the Nordic regions. Mr. Shivdasani mentioned that luxury hotels in Thailand have started incorporating sustainable initiatives and give back to the community as travellers seek unique experiences slightly removed from the tourist trail.
Soneva Kiri has invited talented chefs and musicians for Christmas and New Year celebrations and it takes guests on an expedition around the entire resort.
