Couple of days back, ATOAI or the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India team had met Dr. Mahesh Sharma, the Union Tourism Minister at his office in order to request him to be a part of the impending convention which is scheduled to take place from 18th of September till 21st at the Backwaters Ripples Resort in Kumarakom, Kerala.
The convention will celebrate its thirteenth edition this year. It is being anticipated to attract over 300 participants that would encompass adventure tour operators, state tourism boards, hotels, DMCs, travel trade from Kerala, officials from the Ministry of Tourism, bloggers, influencers, travel trade media and other important media companies.
At the event, there’ll be few networking sessions along with a buyer-seller expo wherein participants may organize a table space in order to endorse and showcase their products and services to the world.
To quote Rajesh Ojha, Convention Chairman and Secretary, ATOAI, “we are excited by the new destination and the buzz it is creating in the fraternity and are enthused by the widening prospects of adventure travel beyond the Himalayan frontiers.” The team expressed their gratitude to the minister for supporting the development of a National Task Force for adventure and nature tourism.
