This year, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong dedicates the entire month of March to women with a host of special events and promotions including a unique charity photographic exhibition in the lobby and MO Bar areas featuring 10 Hong Kong-based female personalities.
Arranged in partnership with fair trade fashion brand Basics for Basics founded by Kayla Wong and captured by artist and filmmaker Sean Lee-Davies and produced by Awethentic Studio, the one-of-a-kind event celebrates women from all works of life from an international artist, model, singer, Olympian swimmer, and car racing champion, to a consul general, company CEO, health advocate, and Asia’s best female chef.
Proceeds from the exhibition will benefit The Women’s Foundation which will also offer an exclusive private viewing to its guests attending their annual International Women’s Day luncheon on 3 March and at the launch event at the hotel’s newly unveiled Joyce Wang-designed The Apartment Suite on 7 March.
From 8 until 31 March, members of the public will have an opportunity to share the inspirational photographic journey and to place charity bids for the captivating portraits, along with a unique interactive experience offered by each woman.
“The photographs are not only beautiful artworks. They offer all of us an unusual insight into these extraordinary personal experiences, each woman’s dreams and the challenges they have overcome.” says Torsten van Dullemen, general manager of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.
During March, The Oriental Spa will pay homage to women everywhere with a pampering Perfect “Me Time” treatment package that combines a 90-minute Customised Aromatherapy Facial with unlimited complimentary access to the swimming pool, heated water facilities and fitness center (to be enjoyed on the same day; Mon to Thurs HK$1,600, Fri to Sun HK$1,750, prices are subject to 10% service charge fee). The spa experience commences with a personal consultation to enable the spa therapist to tailor your skincare using Aromatherapy Associates products.
