koreaPSY’s Wiki Korea featuring eye-catching video clips introducing FUN, FOOD and SHOPPING themed icons in Korean pop culture such as tantalizing banchan (Korean side dishes) and dazzling bulgeum (fire Fridays literally, similar to T.G.I.Fridays) has created a craze among Malaysians and worldwide Hallyu fans alike ever since its launching in June 2013.

Korea Tourism Organization Kuala Lumpur office (KTO KL) is delighted to introduce our new Managing Director, Mr. Peter Chul-Hyun Park, fondly as Peter Park, who is also the man behind PSY’s Wiki Korea, during his tenure as the Director of Branding Marketing Team from January 2011 to October 2013 at KTO HQ in Seoul, prior to his appointment as KTO KL MD, commencing officially on 15 November 2013, overseeing Malaysian and Bruneian markets.

Joining KTO (Korea National Tourism Organization or KNTO back then) in December 1990, Mr. Park is a man with many hats, serving as the Assistant Director of Event Team in 2004-2006 and inventing the Tourism Marketing System (TMS) in 2006-2009, before heading the MICE Strategic Planning Team in 2010.

Mr. Park is not a stranger to this part of the world, being served as the General Manager at KTO Singapore throughout August 2001 to February 2004, he was spotted to quote, “OK lah, I can’t wait to kawan (becoming friends) with the local travel agents and media partners to promote Korea together lah!”.

KTO KL welcomes Mr. Park warm-heartedly and looking forward to working closely with and seeking support from our existing partners as well as exploring new relationships and collaborations with more parties under the leadership of Mr. Peter Park for the upcoming 3 years.
