The PATA Global Insights Conference or PGIC, much publicly appraised event returns to Auckland, New Zealand. It will start on September 29th, 2017 with the assistance of Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development or the ATEED and BBC World News at the SKYCITY Grand Hotel.
To note, PATA/ATEED Tourism Leaders Forum would be the newest attraction of this year’s event to boost the conference. Here, the industry leaders will talk about the various prospects as well as challenges, moderated by Hywel Griffith, BBC World News correspondent. Martin Snedden, former NZ Test cricketer and former TIA Chief Executive will be opening the batting at the forum.
To quote Chris Flynn, PATA Regional Director, “this is an unprecedented opportunity for New Zealand’s tourism community to share their views, ideas and perhaps their concerns with senior executives now shaping long-term strategy.”
Some of the tourism leaders who would be participating in the forum include Chris Roberts, Chief Executive – Tourism Industry Aotearoa; Nick Hill, Chief Executive – ATEED; Stephen England-Hall, Chief Executive – Tourism New Zealand; Dr. Mario Hardy, CEO – PATA, and Cam Wallace, Chief Revenue Officer – Air New Zealand.
‘R U Future Ready’ is the theme of this year’s PGIC conference programme scheduled on September 29th. It includes presentations from TripAdvisor, Boeing, and Microsoft. Besides, the conference will also have a panel discussion for the first time, with ‘tomorrow’s tourism leaders’. Richard Aquino, Sarath Munasinghe, Sabrina Seeler and Xuan Bach Tran (Alex) from the newly-established PATA New Zealand Auckland University of Technology Student Chapter will explain their outlook on how the future of tourism and the way it’s likely to develop by 2025 and after.
