John Henderson, founder of Born in the Borders along with Marshall Dallas, CEO of Edinburgh International Conference Centre; Freda Newton, MD of Loch Ness by Jacobite; and Scott Inglis, commercial director of Fishers Laundry Group are the new appointments.
To quote Stephen Leckie, chairman of the Scottish Tourism Alliance board, “the message at the heart of Scotland’s Tourism Strategy 2020 is that ‘tourism is everyone’s business’ and these new appointments highlight how committed we are as an organisation to ensuring that the voice of Scotland’s tourism industry is represented with such a diverse group of leaders coming from a wide range of sectors and geographical spread.”
“This is an important milestone for the STA and highlights the growing strength in our position leading on tourism matters; it’s a particularly exciting time for the organisation and I am delighted that we have been able to appoint from such a range of professional backgrounds. Our new directors will complement the expertise and skillset of our existing Board members and I look forward to working with the new Board over the coming months to amplify our tourism messages.”
