The clients can avail travel insurance by the day and prepaid currency card as a part of the push in the financial services arena. ‘Roam’ is the first product developed in-house, the app enables the clients to avail cover on a per-trip, per-day and per-season basis.
It helps the customer in controlling to buy right till the moment of departure that also includes refunds on unused days should trips end earlier than expected.
Lyk being a revamp of Thomas Cook’s prepaid card offering is an app-based service operated by Mastercard. It avails contactless payment card that can be loaded with 10 major currencies. The app allows to manage instant balance and transaction information to the customers to manage their holiday spending.
The card also has the facility of switching on and off using app incase it is lost or stolen along with a24- hour dedicated support.
Anth Mooney will lead the Thomas Cook Money who has joined from Virgin Money in 2017.
Peter Fankhauser, Cook chief executive said that digital disruption has been a major challenge in every industry, with the launch of Thomas Cook Money intends to transform the world of holiday money by using the latest technology. It will serve the existing customers better and will gather the attention of the new set of customers with an innovative approach.
He further added by responding to the need of the customers a wide range of products have been developed making use of the mobile and online functionality that will give holidaymakers to control on their spending.
