Hundreds of flights to and from Italy, serving the U.K. travellers, have been cancelled or severely delayed ahead of the latest air-traffic-control strike.

Staff at Italian air-traffic control centres in Brindisi, Milan, Padua and Rome has decided to walk out between 1 pm and 5 pm local time. These centres control all of Italy’s airspace and zones that are spread across the central Mediterranean.

Controllers who work in the control towers at five Italian airports, including Ancona, Brindisi, Perugia, Pescara and Rome Ciampino, will also observe strike on Monday.

Over 100 flights to and from its Rome Fiumicino, and dozens more serving Milan Linate have also been cancelled or delayed including the multiple flights to and from London Heathrow and a flight between Milan and London City.

Four services to and from Rome has also been grounded by British Airways.

British Airways has also cancelled two links from Heathrow to Milan Linate and a Gatwick to Venice round-trip.

EasyJet has also cancelled services to Rome and Milan Linate from Gatwick. Other easyJet cancellations include flights from Luton and Manchester to Venice and Bristol to Pisa.

There has also been a cancellation of a range of flights by Ryanair including flights from Manchester to Rome Ciampino and Stansted to Bergamo. Other flights which have been delayed include the flight from Stansted to Venice and Bergamo.

Jet2 has re-scheduled its flights to Rome Fiumicino from Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester.

Majority of the Finnair flights have been cancelled on Monday because of a dispute related to the nation’s postal service, Posti.

The airline has admitted that the support strike is supposed to affect many of its critical operations including ground handling and customer service at Helsinki airport apart from their catering and technical operations.
