The tourism marketing agency of the country has selected the consultancy — Aviareps to act as its Japanese representation agency, effectual from January 4th, 2018.
Aviareps is recognized as a global leader related to tourism, aviation and hospitality representation with around 63 offices in 47 countries all over the world.
The selection went through a thorough review process by Fiji Tourism.
With approximately $9.5 million tourism earning of the country solely from Japan in September, last year, Aviareps will work in association with Tourism Fiji in Japan to carry on to place Fiji as a leader in leisure destination.
This is expected to grow visitation, spend, as well as market share for Fiji in Japan.
As part of this effort, Aviareps will arrange and position a series of tactical marketing efforts, in trade engagement, public relations, trade marketing, and consumer promotions.
This entire thing was further perked up with the launch of Fiji Airways direct flights between Tokyo’s Narita Airport and Nadi International Airport with service three times a week commencing July 3, 2018.
To quote, tourism Fiji chief executive officer Matthew Stoeckel in a recent statement, “we are thrilled about the new direct service by Fiji Airways to Japan starting July this year, and we are confident that Aviareps’ expertise in destination marketing will help us reach and welcome more visitors from Japan in the years to come.”
