Lately, the Caribbean Tourism Organization or the CTO has declared 22 finalists out of 96 entries put forward for consideration of this year’s Caribbean Sustainable Tourism Awards.
Two Tobago entities are for those aiming at the titles.
At the Tobago Heritage Festival, the Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation has been selected in the “Heritage Protection Award” category. It would be celebrated next year. This award focuses on a tourism organization or a proposal providing an important input in order to protect and promote heritage in a society.
Side by side, Cuffie River Nature Retreat and Eco-Lodge has also been chosen in the “Sustainable Accommodation Award” category. Tourism product or the efforts that helps in making life better in a destination offering exclusive visitor experience are the main target areas of the award.
