International Children’s Day is coming up on June 1. Here we have selected ten amusement parks around China that would thrill any kid to visit.
1. Disneyland in Hong Kong
Disneyland in Hong Kong is one of the most popular theme parks. It is on Lantau Island in Hong Kong, South China. It gets about 7.5 million visitors a year and ranks as the 15th most visited in the world. Children like the rides, acts, and the cartoon characters.
2. Beijing Happy Valley
Beijing Happy Valley is composed of six theme parks, including Firth Forest, Atlantis, Aegean Sea, Lost Maya, Shangri-La and Ant Kingdom. More than 50 sights of culture and ecology are scattered throughout the park, to offer children a rare opportunity to experience the charm of various civilizations regardless of their distance in space and time.
3. Changzhou Dinosaur Park
Located in Changzhou city of East China’s Jiangsu province, Changzhou Dinosaur Park has a dinosaur theme, and it features more than 70 tourist attractions including Dinosaur Island, hot springs, green gardens, a water park (open July and August), and high-tech facilities. Funny Dinosaur Town features arcade gaming facilities and exhibitions.
Dinosaur Island integrates ecological and environmental themes and offers a variety of attractive and adventurous activities for children including forest climbing, dinosaur hunting in the bushes, obstacle courses, mountain adventures and cable sliding.
4. Window of the World in Shenzhen
Window of the World in Shenzhen of South China’s Guangdong province is known for its replicas of famous buildings around the world and for its theater and performances. This place will enable children to “sightsee around the world” without leaving China.
5. Guangzhou Changlong Holiday Resort
Guangzhou Changlong Holiday Resort is by far the most popular place in Guangzhou for tourists. It features a combination of attractive and entertaining facilities all in one place: an animal safari park and zoo, water park, thrill rides, hotel, art, circus gaming and golfing facilities.
6. Tiger Beach (Laohutan) Ocean Park in Dalian
Dalian Tiger Beach Ocean Park shows off the beautiful landscapes of the coastal city of Dalian, Northeast China’s Liaoning province. Clear water and blue skies in the park form the beautiful seaside scenery. There are many famous tourist attractions in the park, including Asia’s largest marine life museum, Polar Museum, World of Birds, Ma Siji root carving gallery of art, and other recreational facilities. Children will love to go there and see the incredible shows performed by penguins, sea lions, and dolphins.
7. Wuhu Fantawild Adventure Theme Park
Wuhu Fantawild Adventure Theme Park is the largest fourth-generation theme park in China, featuring high tech attractions. It covers an area of 1,250 square km, including 530 square km of land and 720 square km of water. It offers various types of entertainment to visitors, including the Sky Sailor and the Space Scheduled Flight. It’s a magic dreamland and a kingdom full of adventures. Children will never feel disappointed when they visit.
8. Suzhou Amusement Land
Considered as the “Oriental Disney”, Suzhou Amusement Land tries to combine the fun of western amusement parks with the tranquility and natural features of oriental gardens. Besides, it also brings in a large number of high-tech recreational facilities, mixed with European architectural style buildings. It’s a popular destination for children.
9. Dalian Discoveryland Theme Park
Covering an area of 470 thousand square meters, Dalian Discoveryland Theme Park is the largest-scale theme park in China, which is more than one third than the size of Hong Kong Disneyland. The park has six theme spots, including Wedding Hall, Discoveryland Square, Legendary Castle, Magical Forest, Metal Factory, Desert Kingdom and Crazy Town. It will be a good place for children to visit.
10. Harbin Amusement Park
Harbin Amusement Park has a variety of over 40 recreational activities. This park holds a city landmark in Harbin, the 110 meter high giant Ferris wheel overlooking the city. Don’t miss taking a ride at night to enjoy the amazing view. The park also has the largest roller coaster in Northeast China. It’s a lot of fun for children.
