Members of the independent English Riviera Business Improvement District went to the polls to elect new directors and seven candidates were picked by a vote of the members of the company set up earlier this year.
The seven directors are: Helen Brenton, sales and marketing manager, The Osborne Club; Martin Brook – owner, Pilgrim’s Rest Cottages; Pippa Craddock, marketing and development director,Paignton Zoo and Living Coasts; Richard Cuming, owner Bygones; Claire Flower, marketing director, Beverley Holidays; Simon Jolly, general manager, Riviera International Conference Centre; Tony Smyth, owner, Sonachan House.
The new board will select four co-opted directors to ensure the board has the necessary skills and balance. Once the full board is in place they will select a new chairman.
