Destination NSWMinister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres welcomed the team to NSW, and encouraged them to make the most of everything Sydney has to offer.

‘It’s great to have Spurs in Sydney this week, as they prepare to play their blockbuster match against Sydney FC. The players will have plenty of time to take in the sights around the Harbour City over the next few days, as well as engaging with local fans and football players,’ Mr Ayres said.

‘With a bumper line-up of major events all set against the backdrop of the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas, Vivid Sydney, it’s a great time to showcase NSW to the world.

‘This match alone is expected to generate more than $8 million for the NSW economy in visitor expenditure, attracting tourists from around Australia and the globe to Sydney,’ Mr Ayres added.

During their time in Sydney the Spurs players will engage in activities such as a Harbour Bridge climb, a sailing trip on Sydney Harbour, and a visit to the Vivid Ideas Lounge at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

An open training session will also be held at ANZ Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
