Tourism Intelligence International, a reputable organization based in Germany and Trinidad, would associate with the Zambian Government for raising the profile of Zambia’s tourism sector on the global tourism map.
The organization holds high respect as travel and tourism consultancy serving government and private sector clients in both established and emerging tourism destinations internationally. It enjoys a good reputation for the quality of research, analysis, advice and strategic planning in the field of international travel and tourism sectors.
Zambian Tourism Minister Charles Banda said that the organization has expressed interest for assisting the Zambia’s tourism sector by bringing it on world map owing to its potential to attract visitors, abounding in a variety of attractions.
Mr. Banda said tourism was a key lever of economic diversification for Zambia and such partnerships would encourage tourists to visit the country due to its rich tourist attractions.
Mr. Banda said that if well harnessed, tourism has the potential to contribute significantly to economic growth, and job creation; hence, the Zambian Government making more efforts to harness the sector.
The minister hailed the UNWTO Secretary General Dr. Taleb Rifai for his firm support to promote Zambia’s tourism prospects at the conference. He said Dr. Rifai’s statement would significantly help to improve on the country visibility internationally as a tourism destination in Africa.
