At present, tourism Malaysia is all set to resolve impediment in terms of air travel of the passengers passing through Immigration checkpoints at various domestic airports, confirmed by the chairman Datuk Dr Siew Ka Wei.
Siew accepted online reports talking about congestion and mentioned that Tourism Malaysia has already contacted the Immigration Department for this purpose.
Highlighting this issue as pertinent at this moment, Siew added by saying that the situation is vital to make sure that it will not pose any hindrance during the upcoming SEA Games which will overlap with local celebrations.
“Tourists usually get a first glimpse of a country at the airport. The first impression there counts and will affect the rest of their holiday and time spent in our country,” Siew said in a statement today.
“Let’s work together to provide a smooth welcome at their arrival by ensuring a hassle-free entry at the airport and immigration counters.”
Immigration director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali already instructed the airport officials to make certain that seamless processing take place, expressing that the problem would be solved instantly!
