Mondli Biyela and Ndumiso Nzuza explained it to Maritzburg Echo about the new launch.
The NPO is called the Edendale Imbali Toursim Organisation and on December 8th, it will be introduced at the Manaye Hall in Imbali.
“At the launch we hope to bring together business people in the tourism sector so we can discuss ways to grow tourism in Imbali,” said Biyela.
They also stated that business people associated with crafts, cultural groups and tourism businesses are invited to the launch ceremony.
Biyela added that the NPO is working in order to secure sponsorship for the programs and workshops that it will conduct at the launch and in coming days.
“The aim of the organisation is to draw the attention of would-be tourists to the township, which will help grow business there,” Biyela said.
He also said that businesses that are keen to get associated with NPO can become members at the launch.
“The advantage of becoming a member is that business people and their businesses will be part of a network of established entrepreneurs. We will host events and workshops for businesses in Imbali and in the long run will come up with a tourism route in the township,” Biyela said.
