Scheduled next month in Kigali, Rwanda, the 41st Annual World Tourism Conference from 14th to 17th November will be a big chance for the country to showcase its tourism potential. This conference will be an important tool for economic growth and job creation across the continent using innovative business models, strategies and new technologies.
This four-day event organized by the Africa Travel Association (ATA) and the government of Rwanda will be attended by African leaders, international investors and travel professionals. Belize Kaliza, Chief Tourism Officer at Rwanda Development Board (RDB) said that they are happy to host such a major tourism conference which is a significant opportunity for displaying the country’s tourist attractions and getting investment opportunities.
The Rwandan tourism industry fetched over 340 million U.S dollars in revenues in 2015, a 10% increase from the previous year and Africa is one of the world’s fastest growing tourist destinations after Southeast Asia.
