On June 26th, Tourist Administration of Guangdong Province (TAGP) organized the 2017 China Guangdong – France Tourism Industry Exchange Meeting in Paris. Its main target is to advance Sino-French cooperation in tourism via demonstrating plentiful tourism resources and quality services.
As per the on-site speech of Zeng Yingru, Director of TAGP, Guangdong and France have seen more and more close cooperative ties in tourism sector along with a continuous increase of mutual visits in recent years. Last year, France and Guangdong witnessed 123,000 visits from Guangdong tourists and received 153,000 overnight tourists from France. It’s being expected that this exchange meeting could eventually help in fortifying the bilateral cooperation in tourism development and administration to create joint development of tourism resources and quality tour routes.
In the meeting, TAGP extensively illustrated the four tourism highlights of Guangdong Province – Lingnan culture, dynamic business districts, golden beaches and centers of delicacies, aiming on the two world heritages within its territory – Danxia Mountain and Kaiping Watchtowers respectively. Also, presenting various aspects, the abundant tourism resources, supporting service facilities and convenience measures in the province.
Jean-Baptiste Cazaubon, Director of the International Affairs Division of Atout France participated in the meeting. He noted that sharing and exchanging ideas with the Chinese counterparts is favorable to perk up the tourist reception level of France and enhancing mutual understanding as China is an important tourist source country of France.
