The two Australian brothers,Shawn and Travis Pittman had established the company that secured backing from Endeit Capital and from the existing shareholders Hoxton Ventures and Cherry Ventures.
The funds raised will be used in the expansion of TourRadar’s workforce in its technology and product departments across its offices located in Brisbane, Toronto and Vienna.
The latest trends observed after the company’s latest fundraising following the Series-A round last year shows the investors inclination towards backing in industries that consumers find confusing due to its fragmentation.
Travis Pittman, the co-founder and chief executive of TourRadar said that they offer the perfect combination of technology and customer experience which makes them stand out in the industry.
This investment will further materialise the company’s vision of connecting people to life-enriching travel experience.
