Incheon Airport put fliers in mock disasters. Around 150 workers from fire station, Emirate airlines, Swissport Korea, a ground handling service provider, airport hospital and other accident-related partners underwent annual plane crash training at Incheon Airport.
The exercise took place in a training ground for fire fighting, which has all types of mock-up aircrafts that use Incheon Airport. In a fake smoke, firefighters saved passengers and evacuated them to hospital after some first aid.
In the training that consists of life-saving, fire fighting and evacuation, Swissport Korea received a special training to deal with aircrafts unable to move. The 2013 plane crash training was also held by National Emergency Management Agency on October 24, joined by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; Seoul Regional Aviation Administration; Incheon City; Incheon International Airport.
“Through joint training Incheon Airport simulates real conditions which will help us maintain its reputation as the safest and the most secured airport in the world.” said Jung, Chang-Soo, president & CEO of Incheon Airport.
