The share of the airline’s traffic on domestic routes increased by 12.5% in comparison with the same period of 2014, and reached 36.4% of the overall passenger traffic.
The highest demand for Transaero’s domestic flights was recorded on the routes from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Sochi, Simferopol, Mineralnye Vody. The passenger traffic on these routes increased significantly compared to the previous year.
As for the international routes, the most popular countries among Transaero’s passengers, as always on holidays, were Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus, Israel. The growth was also recorded on the routes to the major destinations in Western Europe. The decent passenger traffic growth was seen on the routes to the CIS countries.
The operational results for the holidays highlighted that while there is a current trend towards an increase in number of Russians spending vacations domestically, a significant number of international routes still remain attractive for Russian travelers.
