The road surrounding the Heathrow Airport will be blocked and thousands of passengers will face travel chaos this weekend because  protesters are planning to lie in front of a bulldozer.

On Sunday at  Hyde Park Corner a ‘critical mass of cyclists will be gathering and will be cycling to the airport to block up roads.

When they reach the Bath Road they will be joined by a bulldozer near the Tunnel Road roundabout at 1.30 pm which will be used to start a bulldozer lie-in which will block more roads in and out of Heathrow.

A strict restriction has been imposed by the Met Police on the protests and campaigns will be allowed to gather on the South footway of the A4 bath Road. The demonstrations will be forced to stop at 3.30pm.

In order to prioritise Climate and Ecological Emergency this election through the 12 Days of Crisis campaign the politicians were called and the protest is a part of it.

The building of a third runway at the airport had been criticized by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, four years ago he said that he would lie down in front of the bulldozers and stop the construction of the runway.

At the weekend’s action the group have asked Mr Johnson to keep to his pledge and invited him and Shadow Chancellor John McDowell to join the protesters.

Extinction Rebellion protesters attempted to bring the Tube network in London to a standstill by staging rush-hour protests during October.

The angry protesters were dragged from the top of trains and the protests were a flop and the group mentioned that they scored their huge own goal with action.
