So far many Eurostar trains have been cancelled and the overnight sleeper train from Paris to Milan is replaced by a bus. A minimum of 12 hours will be taken for the trans Alpine journey of around 500 miles.
A series of two-day stoppages were staged by the railway workers in protest against planned labour reforms by the national rail enterprise, SNCF.
The strike scheduled to happen between 3 April to 28 June will be separated by three days of working normally however, the effects were felt from the evening of Easter Monday.
Thello apologized for the inconveniences caused by the strike.
The effects has been felt by the Eurostar passengers and the cross-Channel train operator’s French drivers are employed by SNFC.
Due to this 29 services from London to Paris and Brussels for Tuesday and Wednesday have been cancelled which accounts for 25, 000 seats.
The prospective passengers on Easter Monday were told by the firm that their services from the continent to UK and vice versa were fully booked and passengers were requested to come only if they had confirmed seat.
Travellers have been urged by Eurostar who will board the train on Tuesday and Wednesday to arrive at the departure station an hour before for a smoother experience rather than the usual 30 minutes.
On Wednesday the maiden commercial rail journey from London to Amsterdam will operate normally.
On Tuesday and Wedsnesday the normal Disneyland Paris service will be diverted to the Gare du Nord in the French Capital.
To help passengers and distributing tickets for RER suburban trains Eurostar has deployed staff at the terminus and also at the Disney station, Marne la Valle.
