Travel portal survey says babymoon, homestays gaining more favor

yatraAs per a survey conducted by a travel portal Yatra, babymoon and second honeymoons are on the rise as one of the freshest travel trends, observing the ones that gained high favor among travellers in 2017.


The Indian travel market is estimated to be around $30 billion and is estimated to continue growing in double digits as stated in the report.


The survey then went on to add that the tourism industry is observing a good deal of creativity like never before. And one of the most unique trends that was noticed this year was the fact that expectant parents were enjoying a vacation prior to the birth of their babies by taking mini honeymoons.


And the survey also added that millennial travellers have started rewriting traditional trends with an aim to suit their rising demanding life schedules.


The survey mentioned that there has been a beautiful fusion of urban and nature locales including Morocco, Peru, Brazil, Greece and Croatia in this category of holidays.


A greater number of Indians are making efforts to check out unique destinations and regions like Ziro, Alleppey, Spiti Valley, Munnar, Gokarna gave started gaining the limelight of late.



And, on the other hand international tourist destinations like Vietnam, Seychelles, Peru, Iceland and Norway are luring Indians keen to explore outside the box destinations.

Homestays are also a rapidly growing segment in the nation as it offers unique and regional travel experience.


This year has witnessed a large number of globetrotters exploring the concept of homestays, particularly in places like Pondicherry, Coorg, Kerala and Goa.


Also, in terms of adventure travel, India has been observing this trend quite a lot.


There has been a great demand for activities like paragliding, skydiving, scuba diving and so on. Also, water jet boards are on the rise of late.


International destinations are also receiving a great deal of interest from adventure travellers in the Mediterranean, Southern Africa, South America and Scandinavia.
