The company, TourRadar that was established by two Australian brothers, Shawn and Trevis Pittman has secured backing from Endeit Capital and also existing shareholders Hoxton Ventures and Cherry Ventures.
These funds would be utilized to expand the workforce of TourRadar in its technology and product departments across its offices in Toronto, Vienna and Brisbane.
The latest fundraising of the company follows a Series-A round held last year.
It portrays the investor appetite to back up companies in an industry that consumers often find confusing due to its fragmentation.
TourRadar partners with a number of tourism operators and also has alliances with travel companies including Rough Guides. Travis Pittman who is the co-founder and chief executive of TourRadar said that they would focus on technology and customer experience that would help them stand part in this sector.
