Traveller loses leg after slipping under train near Surrey

farncombe-stationA rail commuter partially amputated her leg after slipping off a platform, under a running train at the Farncombe Station near Godalming in Surrey around 10:30 am local time on 21st October, Friday.



The female traveller had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital by the emergency officials. It was found that the traveller was in a bad shape after the accident.



Moments after the tragic incident, another serious accident occurred between Epsom and Ashtead, where a pedestrian was hit by another train around 11:30 am local time. The victim was declared dead by the emergency officials, shortly after the accident.



A spokesperson of the British Transport Police informed that they were called to the line close to Epsom station after train staff reported finding a body just before 11.30 am local time, where the paramedics declared the person to be dead.
