International business travellers have once again chosen Qatar Airways as the Middle East Airline of the Year applauding the airline’s global network, modern aircraft, and luxurious Business Class service for providing them with an exceptional travel experience.
The accolade, presented at the 10th annual Aviation Business Awards held in Dubai, encapsulates passengers’ pleasure in flying with Qatar Airways and further reinforces the airline’s leading position in the Middle East. Travellers commended the airline’s growing network and continued performance in flying them to more than 150 places across the world.
Passengers celebrated the airline’s Business Class service and new Qatar Airways Premium Lounge for providing them with a consistent and exceptional experience every time they fly.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are honoured to be recognised as Middle East Airline of the Year at the 2016 Aviation Business Awards. This award demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional product and service to provide our customers with the very best travel experience.
“From our outstanding new Premium Lounge in Dubai and Al Mourjan Business Lounge at our hub at Doha’s Hamad International Airport, to our award-winning cabin crew and the World’s Best Business Class, we are determined to continue providing the sophisticated and luxurious experience that our customers demand to remain the first choice for travellers in the Gulf region. I would like to extend my gratitude to our staff for their continued dedication to providing the very best travel experiences for our customers.”
This award is the latest traveller accolade praising Qatar Airways’ premium products and services. Whether travelling for business or leisure, Qatar Airways Business Class passengers can take advantage of a dedicated check-in facility at its state-of-the-art hub at Hamad International Airport, Doha. With fast access to the airline’s Business Class Lounge, Al Mourjan, passengers can enjoy an array of dining options inspired by celebrity chefs, a fully equipped business centre or a relaxing spa treatment.
Qatar Airways travellers can keep on the move with convenient transit times and one of the industry’s best on-time-performance scores, while on-board Wi-Fi ensures business continuity or keeping in touch with family and friends.
Qatar Airways operates one of the world’s youngest fleets, with an average fleet age of five years. As part of its commitment to providing the very best travel experiences, the airline was the global launch customer for the most technologically advanced aircraft in the world, the Airbus A350, while also being the Middle East launch customer for the ultra-modern Boeing Dreamliner. Qatar Airways recently announced a landmark commitment with Boeing for up to 100 aircraft as part of its fleet expansion and renewal programme, taking the airline into the next decade and beyond.
The carrier is one of the fastest growing airlines in the history of aviation and 2016 has seen Qatar Airways launch routes to Adelaide (Australia), Atlanta (USA), Birmingham (UK), Boston (USA), Helsinki (Finland), Los Angeles (USA), Marrakech (Morocco), Pisa (Italy), Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), Sydney (Australia), Windhoek (Namibia) and Yerevan (Armenia). Over the next few months, the network will grow further with Krabi (Thailand) and Seychelles.
