Travelodge has recently announced that it is planning to expand by constructing as many as 21 new hotels in the country of Scotland. This company has said that the proposals do have the potential to give rise to over 400 new jobs.
This private company has also mentioned that further hotels would be opened in places like Stirling and Inverness by the end of this year.
The chiefs of Travelodge said that Scotland continues to be a major growth area and it has been looking for 21 new hotel sites all across the nation. The target locations comprise Pitlochry in Perthshire, Oban in Bute and Argyll, Montrose in Angus, Loch Lomond, Lerwick on Shetland, Kirkwall on Orkney, Galashield in the Borders, Aviemore in the Highlands and Ardossan in North Ayrshire.
Apart from this, the firm has also making attempts to double its portfolio of hotels in the region of Glasgow with a further five locations.
The chairman of Travelodge, Brian Wallace said that the hotel market continues to conquer fresh heights in Scotland thanks to a generous boost by the cost-conscious businesses aiming to minimize travel costs. Travelodge would be opening new hotels in Stirling and Inverness, apart from opening fresh ones in Peterhead today with a view to meet the growing demand for accommodations.
Wallace also went on to add that they have started on a journey to become the favorite hotel for Britain and 21 locations across Scotland have been identified where good quality of accommodations can be brought at a great value price.
