Attracted by the strong growth potential of Asia’s booming leisure travel market, UK-based travel technology specialist Traveltek Group has entered into North Asia with a new regional office in Hong Kong.
Traveltek Group, a UK-based travel technology specialist entered North Asia by establishing a new regional office in Hong Kong led by the strong growth potential of Asia’s booming leisure travel market.
Simon Leung will head the Hong Kong office, he was previously with Amadeus and Travelport in Asia. He more recently was running his own travel technology consultancy in China.
Leung’s role as a business development manager of North Asia will be to raise awareness of the benefits of the company’s advanced technology brought to the travel agents, cruise specialist and tour operators in Hong Kong, Macau, China , South Korea and Japan.
Leung said that Traveltek has the potential to revolutionise the way through which travel companies in North Asia sell.It offers travel agents to dynamically package cruise with flights, accommodation and other ancillaries.Its API connection is new to the market with which companies can gain access to multiple global suppliers on a single platform resulting in huge cost savings.
Traveltek technology will help the Asian travel industry to maximize the potential of the cruise market by maximising sales.
Traveltek enables the agents Cruise Super Itineraries solution through which the agents select components and sell them as one single package.
The multi-channel distribution channel has packages in multiple currencies and languages, back-office system that produces bookings reports and client documentation, CRM that manages clients.
The tour operating platform controls the pricing and distributes contracts also falls in the kitty of the technology specialist’s portfolio.
