Odigo is a brand new travel site aimed at attracting English and Chinese speaking travellers from across the globe to the mountains, cities, temples and paradisiacal beaches that make up Japan’s diverse landscape.
Odigo’s website helps assist future visitors to Japan in two main ways; by providing insider sightseeing information, and a custom trip planning tool which allows users to create their own unique travel itineraries. Once created, users can then print off or use an offline-friendly version of their itinerary during their trip.
On the information side, Odigo’s wealth of content on Japan’s most well-known and well-hidden spots has been uniquely created by expert Japan-based vloggers and bloggers with an intimate knowledge of the country’s rural and city-based travel hotspots. The company also launched a content production initiative called #Odigo47, which has sent famous YouTube vloggers such as Chris Broad from AbroadinJapan, Kim Dao, and Chris Okano around the country to create video blogs in each of the 47 prefectures. Now, these videos can be used as a goldmine of inspiration, as well as of practical information and tips, for getting beyond the tourist path and into the heart of Japan’s rural treasures.
