Even going through loses in last year as a result of adverse regional developments, numerous terror attacks and a thwarted coup attempt, Turkish tourism has somehow succeeded in securing substantial growth this year in terms of visitor number and revenue.
For the coming New Year, tourism industry representatives as well as businesses predict far more substantial growth, mentioning the stability in Turkey. Airliners and tourism agencies have been predicting powerful numbers for 2018.
TUI Group, world’s one of the largest tourism agencies declared that the demand for Turkey in coming 2018 has witnessed a 70 percent growth.
Friedrich Joussen, the CEO of TUI Group, functioning across 180 countries all over the world and serves 30 million people every year, shared major developments at a meeting.
“We have been observing positive developments in the Turkish market. The 2018 summer sales to Turkey have seen 70 percent increase,” Joussen said.
Also, he pinpointed that the company has extended its contracts with local enterprises. However, the increasing demand may not be sufficient by the supply.
A distributor of accommodation on a global scale and ancillary products to the world’s travel trade, Bedbank Hotelbeds emphasized Turkey’s constructive developments and said that bookings as of Oct. 1st have grown by 40 percent respectively.
