A Turkish Airlines plane en route from Istanbul to Milan had to make an emergency landing due to a lightning strike, CNN Turk TV channel reported on Nov.28.The TV channel reported, after the plane took off, the pilot informed dispatchers that lightning hit the plane and made an emergency landing at Istanbul airport Ataturk.
The TV channel reported that the place was seriously damaged by the lightning strike. This is the second case this week when Turkish Airlines planes have made emergency landings.Earlier, a Turkish Airlines plane en route from Istanbul to London made an emergency landing on Nov.25.The cause was a smell of burning inside the airdraft. All passengers were evacuated and the flight was cancelled.
