The operator confirmed two executives will leave the company, the chief digital and marketing officer Gilles Deaspas will leave at the end of the year and move on to other projects and the commercial director Bjorn Sandstrom will also depart.
Despas served the operator for less than two years and helped in the development of the single web platform OneWeb and the alliance with Expedia as well as working on brand campaigns.
Peter Fankhauser, chief executive said that Gilles decided to move on to other projects after successfully leading the team and agreeing on the alliance with Expedia. The agreement had the potential of transforming the business and the way they sell holidays to the customers.
The responsibilities of Despas will be handed over to other members within the management team instead of being replaced. Magnus Wikner will take on the group marketing job apart from being the chief of Nordic source market role.
The position of commercial director will be removed and the commercial director will leave the company too. It was reported that Thomas Hohn, the chief of continental Europe source market and group complementary product will handle the duties while Chris Mottershead , chief of the UK source market and group differentiated products.
Andrew Flintham is appointed as the managing director of Cook’s UK business and the promotion of Mottershead at the Brand.
