Two trains collided in the mountain town of Andermatt in the canton of Uri, in central Switzerland leaving 30 people injured. Police and medical personal rushed to the scene of accident to provide help.
During the re-routing manoeuvre a Swiss railway operator mentioned that 27 people got injured.
There were five rail cars with 100 passengers on board, the locomotive was supposed to move from the back of the train to the front on a parallel track. But it was observed that it crashed back into the train.
Jan Baerwalde , of train service operator Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn mentioned that the authorities were investigating about the cause of the crash.
Sonja Aschwanden, of the Uri cantonal police said that they were not aware of the immediate information about the type of injuries occurred or the material damage to have taken place.
However, the injuries are not life-threatening.
