U.S. Travel Statement on Judge’s Ruling on the Executive Order on Visas

U.S. Travel Association's Education SeminarU.S. Travel Association Executive Vice President of Public Affairs Jonathan Grella released the following statement:

“However the issue plays out in the legal system, the American travel community believes the Trump administration’s visa security efforts should include a clear statement that legitimate international business and leisure travelers remain welcomed and valued by the United States. A statement of welcome for legitimate travelers is by no means inconsistent with measures to assess and bolster security—in fact, without effective security, legitimate travel could not exist. In this manner, the White House could continue to pursue security objectives while avoiding any unintended economic consequences of a travel ban—critical, considering inbound international travel is the No. 3 U.S. export and supports 15.1 million un-outsourceable domestic jobs.”
