UAE ranked as the most friendly, safe and developed destination in the Gulf

Jumeirah-Group-JBH UAE-heroThe most tourist friendly destination in the Middle East is the UAE and North Africa (Mena) region. The World Economic Forum (WEF) published the findings in their Travel and Tourism Competitive index.


Good business environment and air transport facilities, infrastructure, safety and security all make UAE a stronger contender than its peer countries like Egypt, Morocco and Jordan.


The WEF assigned scores based on international openness, business environment, health and hygiene, ground and port infrastructure among many other criterion.


UAE being a region with no natural resources has managed to gather enough attraction by building the appropriate environment for both business and leisure travel.  There is much to see while in UAE starting from its Expo 2020 Dubai to the construction of Louvre Guggenheim, UAE is laying great focus on the development of travel and tourism.


Taking the 24th place in global ranking followed by Qatar (43rd), Bahrain (60th), Morocco (62nd) and Saudi Arabia (64th), there is diverse and unique man made attractions which draw tourists in million to the UAE. Its shopping entrees are world famous and pull tourists from all over the world.


In safety too UAE ranks third globally ahead of economies like United Kingdom, Finland and Switzerland. It also ranked high in transport infrastructure. Communications technology (ICT) readiness, ground and port infrastructure, and tourist service infrastructure were ranked 16th, 20th, 26th in the world, respectively.


The places where it scored badly are international openness (ranked 85th), as well as in health and hygiene (69th), cultural resources and business travel (53rd), environmental sustainability (41st) and natural resources (95th).

But owing to its innovative attractions the UAE will continue to maintain high standards in tourism.
