Ahmed Albanna, Ambassador of UAE to India said that the move by the UAE cabinet to grant visa-on arrival to Indian passport holders with residence visa from the UK and the European Union will be a key facilitator of the people-to people bilateral ties.
Signing the MoU between India and UAE on mutual exemption of the entry visa requirements to the holders of diplomatic, special and official passports was the first step towards a simplified visa process.
The UAE Embassy mentioned in a statement that the agreement signed during the second visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi allows the holders of diplomatic, special and official passports visa free travel between the two countries.
It was earlier announced that Indian passport holders can avail a valid American visa or a Green Card and will be eligible to avail a UAE visa on arrival. The long-term strategic partnership between the two countries will be improved in the days to come.
