Uganda has initiated an aggressive marketing campaign with an aim at increasing the number of tourist arrivals from the existent 1.3 million tourists to a whopping 4 million within the year 2020, as stated by the Minister of Tourism of Uganda, Ephraim Kamuntu.
He said that the travel destination of Uganda should be popularized by the travel agencies, tourists and of course the media.
Kamuntu feels that this country that is revered as the Pearl of Africa flaunts of immense potential and is waiting to be explored properly. He added that the government should make the best efforts to make their tourist locales extremely attractive. This speech followed a tourist exhibition that was recently conducted in the region of Berlin in Germany.
