Uganda Tourism launches UK marketing push on Nat Geo Wild TV Channel

Uganda TourismUganda Tourism will sponsor all programming on Nat Geo Wild throughout June 2016. This promotional campaign will represent Uganda Tourism’s first Marketing & PR Campaign in the UK & Ireland.

Uganda tourism’s sponsorship campaign aims to encourage Nat Geo Wild viewers to discover the wonders of the country and to experience their very own Uganda. The campaign will focus on Uganda’s famous mountain gorillas and chimpanzees showing how you can see them up close for yourself, and will feature at least 3 times every hour, achieving approximately 210 hours of sponsored content per month and 1680 credits per month at the channel.

Nat Geo Wild channel expands National Geographic Channel International’s commitment to quality wildlife programming, exciting people’s passion for wild animals and wild places. 
Nat Geo Wild is available in more than 10.4 million homes in the UK and is dedicated to providing a unique insight into the natural world, our environment and the amazing creatures that inhabit it.

Nat Geo Wild is also very popular on Social Media, having more than 7.8 million Facebook likes, 500,000 twitter followers and 800,000 You Tube viewers.

  1. This is great News to my ears and to the ears of all Uganda Safari stake holders. It would be very very good if they advertise on the CNN. Hope here we will have a chance to have a maximum reach and also expand our tourism market especially on the mountain gorillas and also other destinations.

  2. Commendable effort. This is long overdue. We hope the campaign can drive guests in Uganda’s direction to improve our competitiveness in the region.

Uganda’s problem has been marketing and creating awareness of its product but with the above and other marketing campaigns being spearheaded by private PR Companies, we expect more tourists to visit Uganda and East African countries at large given the discounted gorilla permits in April, May and November plus the East African Tourist Visa.
