Le Cinq, the flagship restaurant of the world-renowned Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, has been awarded 3 Stars by the Michelin Guide. Widely considered to be the most important measure of culinary achievement in the world, the Guide only awards three stars – its highest ranking – on those restaurants that its anonymous inspectors believe offer exceptional cuisine that is worth a special trip to experience.
Le Cinq is one of hundreds of restaurants in Four Seasons hotels and resorts around the world, and each one is unlike any of the others. Often reflecting a sense of place, and just as often bringing something entirely new to the local culinary scene, these establishments present an experience to be explored, remembered and enjoyed again. A keystone of this philosophy is the freedom bestowed on Four Seasons chefs to express themselves and push their skills and creativity in new and exciting directions.
In Paris, Executive Chef Christian Le Squer assumed leadership of Le Cinq’s culinary team just over a year ago with a mandate to reimagine the restaurant and take the long-beloved gastronomic destination to the very top with his unique approach of combining traditional French cuisine with brilliant modernity.
“I am delighted to have been awarded this third Michelin Star – every fine chef’s goal – for the magnificent Parisian luxury hotel that is Four Seasons Hotel George V,” says Chef Christian Le Squer. “My thanks go naturally to my culinary brigade and the dining room team at Le Cinq, who do a fabulous job every day alongside me, and to Le Cinq’s long time Restaurant Director and Sommelier Eric Beaumard.”
In addition to 3 Michelin Stars, Le Cinq has recently been awarded the outstanding score of 19/20 and a 5th toque in the 2016 Gault et Millau. The multi-award winning Four Seasons Hotel George V is the only luxury palace hotel in Paris to achieve this double distinction, a true testament to the brand’s continued commitment to excellence and innovation.
Michelin-Starred Dining at Four Seasons
Le Cinq is among seven restaurants at Four Seasons hotels around the world to be recognised by the Michelin Guide, including Lung King Heen in Hong Kong, the world’s first Chinese restaurant to be awarded 3 Michelin Stars. Others are Caprice (2 Stars), also at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong; Zit Yat Heen (2 Stars) at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip; Il Palagio (1 Star) at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze; Il Lago (1 Star) at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva; and Le Cap (1 Star) at Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel.
