This unique ride offers a wild experience where they are taken into King Kong’s island home on a trackless, self-navigating 17-ton truck. The show is not yet open to the public but has been in soft opening for approximately two weeks, which a few lucky ones, visiting during the time can try out the adventure.
Universal is yet to reveal the date for a full opening and is expecting humongous response when it does. The ride starts with a brief drive outside before you actually arrive on Skull Island which passages through a 72-foot-tall gate.
The entire exterior of the attraction is as awesome as its interior. Inside the gate, there is a horseshoe-shaped 3D screen which is the largest one of the Universal Orlando. The 6-minute ride’s storyline will take you to a 1931 expedition.
But as the name goes, a King Kong ride cannot be as smooth as it sounds. Prehistoric animals like ancient raptors, giant crustaceans, enormous bugs as well as dinosaurs attack the ride. Wide shots of the tropical green mountains of Skull Island then unveils and you can enjoy the pure fun of 3D.
The creators have also added special effects like spraying water droplets, jerking the trucks to make the attraction four-dimensional.
The ride ends with King Kong who stands near the truck and asks passengers not to look the ape in the eye which, if you look at is diligently created to portray the ape’s emotions.
150,000 square feet of hand-carved stonework, which took 70,000 man-hours to make is definitely going to be one of the loved amusement destinations for families and kids.
