The festive season is upon us and there is more than a little magic in the air at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. As the Christmas tree soars high, The Lobby will be buzzing with delicious surprises from two gingerbread Charlie Bears playing on an edible seesaw to a Grom gelato cart dishing up cool treats. After snapping photos under the sparkling lights of the tree, guests can stop by the Festive Desk to take care of all their holiday entertaining and gifting needs. If guests are staying in, the new Mayura beef short loin take home dinner will be a show stopper at any holiday party. For those who want the complete Four Seasons holiday experience, one family will have the opportunity to take over the Peak Suite for the ultimate Christmas celebration.
Top of the World
Sitting high above the buzzing city, the Hotel’s Peak Suite is a refuge of luxury, with breath-taking views onto the cityscape and Hong Kong’s famous Peak. This year, the Peak Suite will be host to one lucky family looking to celebrate Christmas Eve on a grand scale. Hosting up to twenty family and friends, the Hotel will put on the ultimate gathering, planned and executed down to the most decadent detail.
With the tree decked out in holiday splendour and the Hotel’s own pianist serenading with Christmas melodies, adults can begin the evening at their own private bar where Dom Pérignon, single malt whiskey and hand crafted cocktails will get the party vibes flowing. Oysters, sea urchin, beluga caviar and many more sumptuous delights will whet palates for the evening of unforgettable eats on a menu crafted by Executive Chef Andrea Accordi. To enhance the dining experience, a live carving station with Four Seasons signature roasted turkey will be on hand, serving up slice after slice of the juicy bird. A dessert display is sure to delight the young ones with a fantasy of Christmas delights. Adults can embrace their inner child at the buffet, or enjoy the sophisticated pleasures of made-to-order crepes. As no Christmas Eve would be complete without the night’s most iconic guest, Santa Claus himself is sure to appear with a bag full of presents, wrapping up the unforgettable Christmas feast.
Four Seasons Christmas Catering
Throwing a big Christmas home party at home has never been easier. Executive Chef Andrea Accordi takes the burden from hosts providing three luxury festive roast options, fully prepared and ready to serve.
Turkey is the star of many Christmas dinners. Chef Accordi offers a particularly sumptuous version with a 6-7 kilogram (13-15.5 pound) bird, slow roasted for ten hours to achieve crispy skin and the juiciest meat. The package comes with red cabbage, cranberry compote, purple sweet potatoes mash, chestnut stuffing, pickled cipollini and rosemary jus.
For a turkey alternative, Chef Andrea proudly presents his signature salt and herb crusted Mayura beef platinum short loin that is sure to impress even the most discerning guests. This award-winning Australian wagyu beef varietal gets its special flavour from chocolate fed to the cows for the last two months of their maturation. This unique tasting super-premium beef has as much tenderness as wagyu but more concentrated depth of flavour. The 5 kilogram (11 pound) beef is slow cooked in the oven for the first seven hours and roasted at a high temperature afterwards to brown the crust (guests can request cooking to desired doneness.) The package comes with mouth-watering condiments: potato and black truffle gratin, red onion marmalade, romanesco and mustard jus.
Finally, an 8 kilogram (17.5 pound) French gammon bone-in ham makes for a stunning centrepiece. Glazed with honey and mustard and spiced with cloves, this succulent ham is roasted for eight hours until meltingly tender. Accompanying condiments include: Hokkaido pumpkin and amaretti mash, caramelised chestnut, cinnamon glazed baby carrots, brussels sprouts and horseradish jus.
All festive Christmas takeaway dinners are available to order at the Festive Desk up to 72 hours in advance. The slow roasted turkey is priced at HKD 2,680; the salt and herb crusted Mayura platinum short loin is priced at HKD 4,850 and the gammon ham is priced at HKD 2,680. Portions will serve eight to ten people.
