Upcoming festive season might revive flood hit Indian tourism. The tourism sector in Kolhapur, for instance, was severely affected by flood recently. However, now the scenario is changing slowly.

The tourism scene in Kolhapur is expected to get better with the approaching festive season – with Navratri, Diwali and other events lined up.

Heavy rains and floods had impacted many events and tours in Kolhapur. Hence, tourism officials are hoping that visitor numbers increase during the Navratri season. Accordingly, the preparations have started to pick up.

The district administration has also built up 22 signboards at entrances to Kolhapur which has names of important tourist destinations enlisted in them.
