In September only 1.47% of a total of 6,115 flights were performed with a deviation from their stated timetables. In October this figure was 0.92% for 5,652 flights, one of the best performance results among Russian civil aviation operators.
President of UTair – Passenger Airlines Alexey Budnik highlighted that ensuring flight punctuality is a UTair priority. “Exceptional results were achieved thanks to the precise and well coordinated actions of the airlines operations, flight, technical and commercial departments,” Mr Budnik said. “Our professionals communicate daily with airport and ground services that are involved in passenger operations and always seek to improve cooperation with them to foresee and prevent interruptions to flight operations. Every deviation from the initial plan is carefully analyzed”, he added.
Mr Budnik also mentioned that in October the airline successfully passed an IATA audit confirming the compliance of UTair operations with international standards. Following the audit, UTair’s compliance certification was extended to October 12, 2017. This further confirms the airline’s flight safety level and its position among the most punctual airlines in Russia as stated by Rosaviation and largest Russian airports. In 2014 UTair became a leader in terms of punctuality at Novosibirsk and Omsk airports several times. UTair also ranked among most punctual airlines at the Ben Gurion airport in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 2014, at Pulkovo International Airport in Saint Petersburg in 2012 and was named the most punctual operator at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow in 2010.
