VAT to be imposed on events and exhibitions

Business EventsA new value-added tax (VAT) would be imposed the events and exhibition industry of Dubai. In the UAE the event and exhibition industry is prospering and growing steadily.

 

This was stated by Satish Khanna who is the General Manager of Al Fajer Information & Services in a special interview with a news media agency that is based in Dubai on Monday.

 

He then went on to add that working with VAT-registered companies would not only assist exhibitors and suppliers reclaim their input VAT but would also make sure that some safety transactions would be adhered to.

 

He then mentioned that he is a strong believer in the fact that the imposition of VAT for the events and exhibitions sector of the UAE would go a long way in improving the value of investment and also sustain the growth and development of this industry.

 

With Expo 2020 approaching, VAT would help the government facilitate the services quite easily.
